College of Pharmacy of Nankai University was officially established on 15 March 2007 and started enrolling students in September 2008. The College of Pharmacy jointly established the State Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology with the College of Chemistry, College of Life Sciences, and School of Medicine, superior colleges of the University. In December 2015, the College of Pharmacy settled in the New Jinnan Campus.

Currently, the College has two undergraduate programs (Pharmacy and Medicinal Chemistry), three programs for Master of Science, (Medicinal Chemistry, Microbiology and Biochemical Pharmacy, and Pharmacognosy), one program for Master of Engineering (Pharmaceutical Engineering), and one program for first-level doctorate in Pharmacy. The College has built the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Molecular Drug Research, the Tianjin Key Laboratory for Medical Data Analysis and Statistical Research, the Tianjin Exemplary Center of Undergraduate Education, an international joint research center of tumor immunology, the Nankai-Tianjin Pharmaceutical Collaborative Innovation Laboratory, the Nankai-CRP Precision Innovation Drug R&D Center, a pharmaceutical analysis and testing center, a computer virtual screening platform, and a garden of medicinal plants. The College actively responds to China's major strategic needs of public health, undertakes multiple projects under national science and technology programs, and has achieved a series of innovative research achievements.

I. Full-time posts for talent introduction (unlimited quota)

(i) High-end talents and team members

NKU Chair Professor

Basic requirements: The applicants shall be first-class scholars and leading talents in discipline construction in their fields with an internationally recognized academic reputation and influence, have obtained landmark innovative research achievements, and comply with other requirements of the post. Overseas applicants shall be senior professors at a world-class university (research institution) or have equivalent qualifications.

Outstanding Professor

Basic requirements: The applicants shall be famous scholars and academic leaders in their fields with a good academic reputation and influence, have obtained outstanding teaching and research achievements, and comply with other requirements of the post. Overseas applicants shall be professors at a world-class university (research institution) or have equivalent qualifications.

Talent Professor

Basic requirements: The applicants shall be academic backbones in their fields with a fair academic reputation and influence, have obtained high-level teaching and research achievements, and comply with other requirements of the post. Overseas applicants shall be associate professors at a world-class university (research institution) or have equivalent qualifications.

Application process:

To apply for talent-introduction posts, applicants can directly send their resumes to the contact email of the College for registration. The information for talent-introduction posts is valid all year round, and applicants can apply at any time. According to the relevant procedures for talent introduction, the University and the College will contact, review, and inform the applicants of the review results. With the implementation of a "green channel" system for talent introduction, the University will accelerate the introduction of top professionals and outstanding young talents.

(ii) Posts in the Young Academic Leaders Training Program

NKU's "Young Academic Leaders Training Program" aims to cultivate high-level leading talents as the important reserve force for its high-end talent team. The University adheres to the principle of "achieving high-level academy, evaluating with high-level standard, and providing high-level supports" to prioritize advantageous resources for development. The University provides sufficient assessment cycles and sustainable policy support to selected teachers, offering support and cultivation in terms of project funding, simulated performance-based salary, team building, graduate recruitment, and international-level training. Since its implementation in 2013, the program has finished 11 batches of selection and training, gathering a group of innovative and pioneering outstanding young academic backbones and forming a significant reserve for high-level leading talents in various fields.

Basic eligibility requirements:

1. The applicants shall have obtained a doctoral degree and reached the academic level of associate professor/associate researcher or above at our University.

2. The applicants shall meet the age requirements for young academic leaders and talent introduction of the University. The applicants shall be under 35 years old, and the applicants for senior positions shall be under 40 years old.

3. The applicants shall have the academic development potential and independent innovation ability of a young academic leader, a good research foundation, a research direction and plan driven by the academic frontier, and the ability to form a competitive academic team to develop and conduct forward-looking, innovative, and feasible research projects based on urgent needs for national development and international academic frontiers.

Application process:

Applicants for posts in the Young Academic Leaders Training Program can only register in the system. Please log in to NKU's talent introduction system and submit your application information online (website: yinjin.nankai.edu.cn). We adhere to the principle of "open for application at any time and conducting the review in a centralized manner". The second batch of applications for 2023 is underway.

(iii) Professor

Basic eligibility requirements:

The applicants shall be under 40 years old and meet the requirements of professorship at NKU.

Application process:

The applicants shall send their resumes, representative achievements of the past five years, research summaries and plans (in three pages, both Chinese and English are acceptable), and two letters of recommendation from peer experts to the contact email address (the referrers shall directly send the letters of recommendation to the email address). The College will contact, review, and inform the applicants of the review results according to relevant work procedures.


(ii) (Deputy senior) Teachers

Basic eligibility requirements:

The applicants shall be under 35 years old (the age requirement can be flexible for outstanding individuals) and have reached the academic level of an associate professor at NKU.

Application process:

The applicants shall send their resumes, representative achievements of the past five years, research summaries and plans (in three pages, both Chinese and English are acceptable), and two letters of recommendation from peer experts to the contact email address (the referrers shall directly send the letters of recommendation to the email address). III. Postdoctoral enrollment posts: unlimited quota

Basic eligibility requirements:

1. The applicants shall have good professional ethics and dedication, observe laws and regulations, and possess the necessary political and moral qualities to become a university teacher.

2. The applicants shall be excellent doctoral graduates with a high academic level and have the ability to undertake national scientific research projects and the potential to become full-time university teachers.

3. The applicants shall be under 35 years old (inclusive) and have earned a doctoral degree within the past three years.

IV. Salaries and Benefits

1. The salaries and benefits of posts in the talent-introduction program are personalized according to the applicant's level and implemented according to the relevant regulations of China, Tianjin Municipality, and NKU. The specific details shall be discussed in person based on the applicant's conditions and contract tasks.
